about jeweller/goldsmith Danni Meyerson | Oropa Jewelry
My approach to art is to be fearless and then to accept fate. Some of my greatest successes come from modified failures.
I appreciate my materials and their personalities and characteristics, and, instead of considering myself to be their master, consider myself as belonging to a partnership.
My aesthetic is unpretentious and imperfect. I feel that to attempt perfection is to try to rival nature, and I am not proud enough to think I can accomplish it. I love natural, raw, wild, but tasteful and delicate forms.
I focus on creating a final piece which respects aesthetic guidelines like balance, proportion, functionality, perspective, content, significance or non-significance, relationship, composition, logic.
I want a wearer to be able to appreciate the process that I go through in building a piece, and to know why his jewelry is special.
